How we Started?
Back in 2011 full time Barber and beginner level tattoo artist Domonic Carter brought this crazy idea to his cousin Donaven. “We gonna take my dads building deep in the hood and open our own Artist Social Club”. A place where we can be creative and take our ideas to another level...

At the time Donaven had been jetting back in fourth between Photography, Graphic Design, and Art Direction. Seasonal work and Freelance work is so Strenuous, summers in the Jersey Shore, fall months in Baltimore selling Custom T-Shirts design in the the mall kiosks till New Year, Then however Glamorous Miami Beach from January to May and back to jersey every year. Even with a BFA in Graphic Design and photography and a pretty impressive portfolio and resume Donaven wasn’t totally fulfilled... then Domonic light that lightbulb...
An Art Gallery and Tattoo Shop with a unique retail experience is the Ripp’d Canvas' Foundation. The growth of moving into the Main Street also known as Pigtown was just a another step in our big picture vision...
